Experience the first public preview of Four Seasons on the Great Marsh: Autumn, an ambitious new work from Boston Dance Theaterthat explores the ecology, history, and seasonal rhythms of New England’s Great Marsh through contemporary dance, environmentalresearch, original music, visual art, and community engagement.

Conceived and directed by Boston Dance Theater Founder and Director Jessie Jeanne Stinnett, this multi-year interdisciplinaryproject combines place-based artistic inquiry with ecological exploration, inviting audiences to consider the interconnectedrelationships between people, landscape, and the natural world.

Four Seasons on the Great Marsh: Autumn reflects on harvest, migration, ecological interdependence, decay and transformation,and preparation for winter. This work-in-progress excerpt offers audiences an opportunity to experience a major new creation in itsearly stages and become part of its artistic journey.

The evening also features Delicate Blue, a captivating repertory work by Brazilian choreographer Alessandro Sousa Pereira andinspired by themes of environmental connection and humanity’s relationship to nature.

The artistic team includes Jessie Jeanne Stinnett, Sean Pfeiffer, Henoch Spinola, Wesley Urbanczyk, and Ameia Mikula-Noble, with creative contributions from composer and sound artist Skooby Laposky, visual artist Kim Radochia, and lighting designer BrentWoods.

This Great Marsh dance  project is supported in part by the Great Marsh Artists Fellowship and was supported with a creative residency at the Manship Artists Residency, where the artists developed and rehearsed this program.

Boston Dance Theater is a contemporary repertory company committed to creating and presenting innovative, interdisciplinarydance works. Founded by Jessie Jeanne Stinnett,  BDT brings together a core ensemble of artists to perform works by nationally andinternationally recognized choreographers alongside original creations. The company is dedicated to artistic excellence, communityengagement, and fostering the next generation of dance artists through its Trainee Program.
