Isaac Grenader is a Massachusetts-based filmmaker and musician, interested in ecology and conservation. His work illustrates complex systems in nature, reflecting the vital connection between humans and the environment. He grew up in Marblehead MA, with a keen interest in the ocean and its species. His passion for drawing animals developed into an interest in animal locomotion and anatomy, which he has gone on to pursue in his BFA at Rhode Island School of Design. He is graduating in May 2026 from the Film/Animation/Video major, with a concentration in Animation. He uses a multi-media approach to stop motion animation and puppetry, with a specific interest in textile techniques. He has taken classes in the Textiles department, exploring weaving and dyeing techniques to tie the filmmaking with organic materials. The textiles are a symbol of the unifying structures in all living things, and the vulnerability of life. As a violinist, Isaac has a passion for using experimental instrumentation in his films, and enjoys improvising to create soundtracks for his animations.
